Nooruddin (Rudy) S. Karsan
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Karsan co-founded Kenexa in 1987 and currently serves as the chairman and chief executive officer. Prior to then, Mr. Karsan headed Marketing Actuarial for the Mercantile & General Insurance Company in Toronto, Canada. Mr. Karsan received a Bachelor of Math degree in actuarial science from the University of Waterloo and is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
Troy A. Kanter
President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Kanter joined Kenexa in 1997 and has served as the president, human capital management since 2003 and chief operating officer since 2006. From 1997 to 2003, Mr. Kanter served as executive vice president of sales and business development. From 1997 to 1999, he managed Kenexa’s HCM consulting, retention services operations. From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Kanter was the president of Human Resources Innovations, Inc., a company he co-founded that provided employee survey research and consulting and which Kenexa acquired in 1997. From 1990 to 1994, he was employed by The Gallup Organization, a provider of research, survey and HCM services, most recently serving as its vice president of client services. Mr. Kanter graduated from Doane College where he now serves on the board of directors.
Donald F. Volk
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Volk has served as the chief financial officer since 1996. Prior to joining Kenexa, Mr. Volk was a partner in the accounting firm of Brinker, Simpson, Nicastro & Volk. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Villanova University and holds a Master of Science degree in taxation from the Villanova University School of Law. Mr. Volk has been a certified public accountant since 1974.
Eric Lochner
Chief Marketing Officer
Mr. Lochner joined Kenexa in 2006 and serves as the chief marketing officer. From 2007-2009, Lochner served as managing director of Kenexa’s European, Middle Eastern and African operations. Before relocating to London, he was vice president of operations and was responsible for managing Kenexa’s acquisitions. Prior to joining Kenexa, Lochner served as executive vice president at Golin Harris International. Earlier in his career he led marketing for Careerbuilder.com and held various marketing positions at Headhunter.net, Kuczmarski & Associates, and InterCall. Lochner earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and his Bachelor of Arts degree from John Carroll University.
James P. Restivo
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Restivo has served as the chief technology officer of Kenexa since 2006. He has more than 20 years of experience in implementing innovative business solutions at the organizational level. Before joining Kenexa, Mr. Restivo was the founder, president and chief executive officer of Blue Angel Technologies. Between 1993 and 1997, he also served as the vice president of development for Vertex Inc., the leading provider of corporate tax software. Mr. Restivo holds a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, applied mathematics and statistics.
Sarah M. Teten
Chief Customer Officer
Ms. Teten joined Kenexa in 1999 and serves as the chief customer officer. In this role, she is responsible for ensuring that Kenexa's brand and extreme service promise is communicated, delivered and fulfilled at each phase of the customer lifecycle. Teten served as the chief marketing officer from 2004-2009. From 2002 to 2004, she served as the director of marketing and was a sales executive from 1999 until 2002. Prior to joining Kenexa, Ms. Teten served as a marketing manager for Kaplan Educational Centers, a provider of educational services. Ms. Teten received a Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communications degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Archie L. Jones, Jr.
Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Jones has served as Kenexa’s vice president of business development since August 2005. From 2003 until 2005, he served as managing director of Maplegate Holdings, a private equity investment firm he co-founded that focuses on small-cap buyouts. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Jones was a principal and charter member with Parthenon Capital, Inc., a private equity investment firm formed in 1998 and an affiliate of two of Kenexa’s shareholders, Parthenon Investors, L.P. and PCIP Investors. Mr. Jones served on Kenexa’s board of directors from 1999 until 2002. He also served on the board of directors of Franco Apparel Group from 1998 until 2004, and held the role of the organization's interim CFO in 1999. Mr. Jones holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and business administration from Morehouse College.
